According to them, the new model, codenamed F16 will be launched in August in Moscow. Their report is backed up by various rumors and insider information leaked online by trusted sources. Apparently, the decision to reveal the new model in Russia was due to the fact that that’s one of the biggest markets for the X6.

Over the years, since the original E71 models was launched (back in 2008) more than 200,000 units were sold worldwide. Alongside the ‘regular’ models, a BMW X6 M model is also expected but it will probably be launched somewhere at the beginning of 2015 or in late 2014, at the earliest.

The new M model will be using the same engine as the X5 M that is rumored to be an improvement of the actual S63 unit, expected to deliver around 10 more HP and a bit more torque whilst keeping emissions and fuel consumption in check.
