Late last month, our spy shooters came across the prototype of the 2019 BMW 7 Series, with the automaker's flagship sedan heading for its mid-cycle revamp. As we mentioned back then, we're expecting the LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) to bring a visual treatment borrowing elements from the Bavarian automaker's next-generation styling language, which has been previewed by the X7 iPerformance Concept.
As it turns out, the Internet wasn't ready to wait over a year until the 2019 7er is released. And what does the world wide web do in such cases? It comes up with renderings that help us pass the time, of course.

This is how the pixel play you're looking at has been born, with the two photos we have here allowing us to get a pretty good idea of how the new 7 Series will look like.

However, the super-sized elements we have here, from the kidney grilles to the monstrous air intakes on the sides of the front apron, will probably be toned down for the showroom model.

In fact, Jan Peisert, the digital artist behind this pair of renders, actually envisioned this as the next-generation 7er.

Another visual element you can expect to see on the 2019 BMW 7 Series is the black and white roundel badge, which the carmaker now uses for its uber-expensive machines.

As far as the firepower of the newcomer is concerned, the current engine range of the 7 Series is fresh enough to be carried over, even though you can expect incremental fuel efficiency and power boosts.

However, the German automotive producer will up the ante on the technology front, with the most important change set to be delivered by optional features that will turn the lavish sedan into a Level 3 autonomous vehicle.

We'll get to meet the 2019 BMW 7 Series by the end of next year, with the 2018 Paris Motor Show being a likely venue for the introduction of the machine.
