Remember the days when Batman defeated all his enemies with clever banter and a karate chop? Yeah, they’re long gone. Nowadays, the caped crusader is a more violent version of himself and he even packs guns, not on himself, but on the mighty Batmobile.
The most famous crime fighting machine of all time changed a lot under the vision of director Chris Nolan and it’s going to do so again once the game Batman: Arkham Knight comes out in 2015. Its makers at Rocksteady studios have just released a couple of teaser trailers ahead of the E3 show and one of them shows a new Batmobile in great detail, one that’s unlike any before.

The vehicle is now able to switch between pursuit and battle models, in which case armaments such as cannons and gatling machine guns pop out. It looks a bit like Bumblebee’s semi-transformed mode with guns and boosters. The whole point of this game is driving the Batmobile, which has been place at the disposal of games’ fingertips for the first time ever.

The city and the gameplay experience are going to be equally as important. Gotham’s streets have been made wider in the game to allow better for pursuit action. The afterburners of the Batmobile allow it to jump, just like the Tumbler.

Hunting down gangs of escaped Arkham prisoners and shooting them with rockets sounds like our idea of fun. In fact, we’d go as far as to say that Batman: Arkham Knight could be a great driving game, a bit like GTA, but with better costumes and voice actors.
