While it may make a lot of sense to a lot of people who can afford it, Audi says its all-new RS6 is not for the US, and so, they will not be importing it. It’s a shame, because while demand would not be exceedingly high, it would still sell, and with its high list price, it would definitely bring in some money for Audi.
The question of estate/wagon cars being sold/selling in the US is a tricky one, and it cannot be answered in a simple fashion. The RS6 would be a niche product, with limited appeal, and while it may have supercar performance, there are still those who want the look of a supercar to go with the oomph, and here the Audi doesn`t deliver as it looks like a slightly-wider version of the A6 Avant.

Furthermore, back in 2010, Audi and VW tuner MTM announced that it would be bringing the RS6 into the US and Canada, yet it eventually failed to do so, as it did not get ‘the necessary green lights’ which would have allowed them to import the car.
