Call it opulence or take it as exclusive design, but know this: Aston Martin just released a chair with four wheels that costs more than a second hand Audi A6. What you don’t know is that the first global production run of 600 units and sold out in no time.

The second edition Silver Cross Surf Aston Martin baby carriage might just prove auto makers are desperate to convince buyers. Now, for £3,000 ($4,862 / EUR3,839) you’ll get a special chair that performs all the usual functions of a Silver Cross Surf, only that it includes bespoke elements using the expert craftsmanship of Aston Martin. Let us take a closer look.
The exterior is swathed the same Alcantara used on the roof lining of the latest Aston Martin while the chassis is painted in Morning Frost, one of the colors available to car-buying customers. This luxury baby carriage comes with air ride suspension to ensure the child is not disturbed on the move, while the wheels were inspired by the alloy items fitted to the £1 million Aston Martin One-77 hypercar. Extras include a sheepskin seat liner hand-finished in Devon and a hand-woven cashmere blanket.
