New 2015 Ford Mustang Details, Renderings Surface

Most rumors claim the 2015 Ford Mustang will be unveiled at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, and with only six months left until the big event the Blue Oval-badged automaker is still mum on details. But the lack of official details has spawned a productive rumor mill, with more and more unofficial details surfacing onto the web lately.
Wheels Magazine is the latest paper to join the speculative efforts on what the next-gen Mustang will bring, and their latest article reveals new details about the musclecar. For starters, the Australians claim that the four-cylinder EcoBoost Mustang pony will have just 248 HP under the bonnet, about 60 HP less when compared to the 3.7-liter V6 version, although past reports were hinting at a 350 HP 2.3-liter EcoBoost. In addition, the 5.0-liter Coyote will carry on with 429 HP, while the supercharged 5.8-liter V8 now fitted in the Shelby GT500 could deliver as much as 680 HP.

Interestingly enough, Wheels Magazine also claims the 2015 Mustang will also receive a ten-speed automatic transmission at a later date. The gearbox will be jointly-developed by Ford and General Motors, as part of the program the two automakers announced three months ago.

Finally, Wheels Magazine also published two renderings of the sixth-generation Mustang. Nothing new here really, but nothing wrong with having yet another interpretation of this highly-anticipated musclecar.
