New 2015 Cadillac ATS-V Spied Uncamouflaged in Coupe Format

After months of speculation, the luxury manufacturer confirmed at the end of August that the refreshed 2015 Cadillac ATS-V is going to make its first public outing at the Los Angeles Auto Show. But mysteries still envelop the new rocket from the American brand.

If you like Cadillac and your memory serves you well, then you might remember that the updated ATS-V was spied over the past six months or so only in four-door performance sedan layout. This time around, our carparazzi caught the beast on film sporting only two doors and no camo at all.

Will Cadillac showcase the sedan, two-door coupe or both variants concomitantly at the L.A. Auto Show?

Only time will tell, but we're certain that what the spy photographers snapped this time around is a production-ready 2015 ATS-V Coupe. As expected, there's a modern-design, wreathless Caddy logo up front, a heat extractor incorporated in the hood, as well as a thumpin' great lower radiator grille that's further beautified by a black-painted lip spoiler.

At the rear we've got a quartet of polished exhaust pipes integrated into a subtle aerodynamic diffuser, as well as a ducktail spoiler wing that offers a bit of downforce at high speeds. Humongous carbon ceramic brake discs, big side skirts and a redesigned rear bumper round off the exterior makeover nicely.

If you peer through the driver's window, you'll notice a pair of super neat bucket seats with what seem to be slots for fitting racing harnesses. The oily bits will come in the form of a 425+ horsepower 3.6L twin-turbo V6 coupled to an Aisin 8-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission, not the all-new Hydra-Matic 8L90 eight-speed that can be had on the 2015 Corvette and 2015 Cadillac Escalade.
