New 2013 Toyota Crown Leaked Photos

Here’s one amazing car that you probably never heard about. It’s the Toyota Crown, an amazing luxury vehicle that’s mainly built for the Japanese market. The Crown is the oldest sedan offered by Toyota, having entered production in 1955. It’s distinguished by a crown shaped badge that replaces the Toyota one at the front.

Photos of the fourteenth generation S210 series Crown family have leaked onto the internet. We the Crown Royale, which is more luxurious and comfortable and the Crown Athlete that comes with aggressive styling. They have different grille designs and bumpers, yet somehow remind us of the Lexus GS, which they might be related to.

The two models likely share the same S-series platform, with a 2,850mm (112.2 inch wheelbase). In Japan, Toyota will most likely continue to offer a 2.5-liter, 3.0-liter and 3.5-liter V6 engines as well as a hybrid.

The Crown is only surpassed in luxury by the Crown Majesta and Century models, and it has served as an inspiration for many Toyota sedans. The Corolla for instance is Latin for “little crown”, while the Corona and Camry both owe their names to this model.

In Japan, the Crown has been used as a police car and a basic model is offered to taxi companies, so if you’re a tourist in Tokyo, you probably rode in one.

The current generation was introduced in 2008 and came with a couple of amazing features we’ve never seen before, like a suspension system that adjust the dampers based on GPS map data or one that changes transmission and engine braking setting depending what type of road you’re on.
