The new Porsche Cayman is one day away from greeting the public on the 2012 Los Angeles International Auto Show floor and it seems that the first camo-free image o fthe vehicle has leaked onto the Internet.
To be more precise, we are talking about a scan that shows the cover of the December issue French magazine "Flat6".
We've talked about the 2013 Cayman on numerous spyshot occasions, but it seems that there's something we didn't know about. The coupe is expected to offer a 10 hp output premium over its open top brother.
If this turns out to be true, it means that the entry-level Cayman will get a 2.7-liter flat six that will allow the driver to play with 275 hp, while the Cayman S version will deliver 325 hp.
The aforementioned power boost is welcome, since sportscars like the Cayman have begun to be threatened, in terms of hp rating at least, by certain hot hatches. Of course, the two genres can't be compared in terms of handling, but the spicy compacts seem determined to catch up with the coupes when it comes to output figures.
