New 125cc Motorcycles from Blata

Czech Mini-moto maker Blata has introduced two full-sized and road legal 125cc motorcycles, that “have the look and feel of much larger bikes” and offer consumers “a high level of equipment that comes as standard”. The two new 125cc bikes from Blata are quite a competitor for the similar Aprilia SX 125, Yamaha XT125R and even Honda CBF125.

However, building a name on a market that is most oriented towards the renowned Italian and Japanese brands, will be quite a challenge for the Czech manufacturer.

The bikes are both fitted with standard braided brake hoses, quick-release pannier holders and a detachable number plate hanger, MCN reported. Destined for the younger riders or beginners, the new bikes are powered by a 4-stroke air-cooled 125cc single, which reportedly develops 13.6 horsepower.

Taking the road version first, the Blata Motard 125 is a supermoto-style motorcycle with Marzocchi upside-down forks, a Sachs rear shock and AJP radial brakes.

Priced £2,800, the Motard costs £100 more than the Enduro 125. The latter is a trails version of the same bike, featuring larger wheels and off-road tyres.

Basic features of the new 125cc Blata motorcycles:
