We’ve heard about license plates made by convicts, but never whole cars. However, if you take the time to think about it, they’ve got all the time in the world to focus on the little jobs, the end result is really cool, so it motivated them, and most importantly they acquire a skill that will stay with them for life and is bound to keep them out of trouble.
The Wall Street Journal has published a story that was first caught onto by Jalopnik, and which talks about the coolest use of the detained workforce ever. So cool in fact that it makes us want to do the time.

"We've got a '56 Jaguar, a '48 Rolls Royce and a Studebaker pickup," says Mr. Fuller, and inmate at the Southern Desert Correctional Center in Nevada.

Make sure to check out the WSJ post, and to check out the cool photo gallery of restored cars. They even managed to fix a 1961 Chevrolet Corvette, so the inmates have real skill if you ask us.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
