Nemo GoGo Elite Is the Perfect Blow-Up Tent for Solo Adventures

As nice having someone with you on the bike as you hit the road may be, at times people need to be all alone. Since luggage and motorcycling aren't the best of friends and space aboard a two-wheeler is a premium commodity, items designed for touring purposes have to be minimized as much as possible without compromising functionality.

The Nemo GoGo Elite is one of these items that provide top-notch practicality at a fraction of the volume other similar accessories will occupy in your luggage. The most innovative solution is the fact that the Nemo GoGo Elite comes with a blow-up air-support structure.

It eliminates the usual fiberglass rods that hold the tent erect and replaces them with tubes that can be easily inflated by mouth-power. It comes with a pump of course, to make things even easier. However, the tubes are easily folding when deflated and come with reduced weight and dimensions.

This helps the Nemo GoGo Elite pack down to almost hilarious dimensions. It will fit in a regular hiking water bottle despite offering 1.8 square meters (19 sq ft) of useable footprint. A 0.4 square meter (5 sq ft) vestibule area complements the available space, with the max height of the tent being 69cm (27"). The floor dimensions are 274 x 104 cm (108"x41"), providing enough space for one camper and his or her gear.

The tent is waterproof and breathable thanks to the proprietary material

GoGo Elite is made from a patented 10D material with a fine weave that's both pleasant to the touch and waterproof/breathable. According to users, condensation inside the tent might be a problem at times, but not a major drawback altogether. The floor is made of 20D material.

The tent can be stored in a 1-liter plastic bottle and comes with pegs and a repair kit for the air tube. The tent alone weighs a funny 560grams (1.2 lb).

If you fancy getting a GoGo Elite, you should know that is doesn't come cheap. At $430 (€389), Nemo GoGo Elite is even steep, but considering it will fit even in the pocket of your riding jacket, this tent is hard to beat when it comes to saving space.
