Nelson Piquet Jr to Confirm Future Soon

Nelson Piquet Jr. revealed that he has some good options for the future in terms of racing career and is looking forward to sharing it with his fans in the next few days. Writing on his twitter page about his prospects, the Brazilian driver insisted that things worked out pretty well in the last few months and he will make his final choice soon enough.

About next year ... there are some very good things going on, thank God. I will decide about it soon. Very soon,” wrote the former Renault racer.

Following his involvement in the famous race fixing scandal in the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix, the Brazilian driver was credited with few or even no chances of returning to the Great Circle in the future. In addition, his past performances with Renault – which got him out of Enstone by mid-season last year – caused several teams to look the other way before offering him a deal.

Nevertheless, Piquet did manage to get on one drivers' list, the one belonging to Campos Grand Prix, thanks to his father's money. Triple F1 champion Nelson Piquet was believed to sponsor the Spanish outfit in 2010 in exchange of a racing seat for his son. If that situation will occur, Campos would be the only team on the F1 grid to field two Brazilian drivers: Piquet Jr. and Bruno Senna.

In addition to his F1 prospects, Piquet Jr. has also tested a couple of times for a NASCAR Truck Series team during the past few months. While constantly stating that his primary target is set on returning to F1, Piquet hinted that a progressive approach towards NASCAR is also a possibility for the 2010 season.
