Open your email and compose one for the HR department: you’ll need a few days off in November, starting from the 19th. This is the date when Electronic Arts is releasing Need For Speed Rivals, an episode that promises to revolutionize the entire saga. The game will use the Frostbite 3 engine, taking the battle between cops and street racers to the next level.
You’ll need an Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC if you want to play, but the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will also receive the game later this year.

NFS Rivals is being developed be EA’s freshest studio, Ghost Games, working together with Criterion Games. We don’t know exactly who went to Maranello, Italy before the development started, but a great goal was achieved, as Ferrari was convinced to return to NFS - the painful seven-year wait is now over!

Thus, you’ll be able to use cars like the F12 Berlinetta to play as a racer. However, you can also be a member of the law enforcement team and this means you’ll join forces with other players to bust the offenders.

Need For Speed Rivals will feature AllDrive, a feature that will allow you to make an almost imperceptible shift between single and multi player modes. For example, you’ll be able to take part in a race even if you hadn’t been present at the starting line.

Before you compose that email, you can check out the Need For Speed Rivals trailer, as well as a full menu of screenshots, below.
