The “Need for Speed” movie hero car, a unique Shelby GT500 developed by Ford Racing, is enjoying a lot of attention lately. With almost three months left until it hits the big screen, the “Need for Speed” Mustang paced the final race of the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup season in Miami last weekend only to join the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show three days later.
Although it shares the stand with a 2014 Shelby GT500 and a legendary 1967 Shelby GT350, the hero car will likely become one of LA’s main attractions with its unique widebody kit, 22-inch wheels, dual hood intakes, and LED halo lamps that surround the air intakes.
As a reminder, the “Need for Speed” movie is set to arrive in theaters in February 2014. The full trailer, which features the Mustang displayed in Los Angeles, is available here.
