Many people don’t realize that having a certain amount of driving skill can be quickly negated by other drivers who lack the necessary skill. The driver of the truck in this video probably fails to see that the lights are red and when he does realize it, it’s too late. Or is it?
Well, the driver in the truck with the dashcam probably looks in his right mirror, sees the out-of-control truck and brakes, leaving a gap just big enough. Also, thankfully, despite the traffic lights being red, no cars were in the intersection at the time and it went straight through without so much as touching another car or ‘the scenery’.
So, no matter how good a driver you think you are, always be on the lookout for other, less-skillful drivers out and about, as they might ruin your day, as well as your car. However, the event may end up as a near miss, followed by a lot of swearing - at least that only ruins your day and leaves your car untouched!
