NBC's Heroes and Nissan Team Up for Comic-Con

The Japanese car maker thought it would be a great idea to raise awareness of its new model, the Nissan Cube, by teaming up with NBC's television show Heroes, and attending the 40th annual Comic-Con Convention. Held in San Diego between July 22 and 26, the convention will witness a series of activities, sweepstakes and giveaways from the NBC's Heroes and Nissan partnership.

The publicity campaign will give attendants the opportunity to win several prizes, including comic book giveaways and one of the four Nissan Cubes present at the event.

Also worth mentioning is the fact there will be 15,000 specially created collector's edition comic books with the Cube and the Heroes series.

Nissan plans for the convention-goers to experience the car's asymmetrical lounge-like interior and toy with the Cube's techy features, like the Interface System for iPod, Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System and the interior lighting package which has 20 different adjustable shades.

Our partnership with NBC's Heroes at Comic-Con this year provides a perfect opportunity to show off the all-new 2009 Nissan cube both on and off the screen. We look forward to interacting with the many attendees at the show, many of whom are just the people that would consider the Nissan cube as their next 'mobile device'”, said Christian Meunier, vice president, Nissan Marketing.

The Cube will be marketed with a 1.8 liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine and a choice of Nissan's Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) or a 6-speed manual gearbox. The car looks to attract buyers with it's practicability and unconventional look, inside and out.
