Life doesn’t get much better for an NBA star after you help your team win the national championship, but Marco Belinelli sure seems to be having a good time these days. Last month, Belinelli kicked off his summer by win an NBA title with the San Antonio Spurs, and now the 28-year-old got the VIP treatment at Lamborghini’s headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy
During his visit, Belinelli got to check out all of the classics inside the Lamborghini museum as well as the all-new Huracan and the Aventador, which the 6-foot-5-inch shooting guard cab be seen towering over in the image above. As cool as the museum and assembly line must’ve been, it sounds like the highlight of his trip was heading out for a test drive in an Aventador Roadster with Lamborghini test driver, Mario Fasanetto.
"This has been a truly unique experience for me, a childhood dream come true. When I was little I used to watch the Lamborghini Diablo fly past at my home nearby. Getting into the Aventador today was so exciting, I just hope I'll have another chance to do it again soon," said Belinelli.
In his seventh year in the NBA and his first with the Spurs, Belinelli had some major accomplishments. He became the first Italian to win the NBA Championship when his team knocked off the Miami Heat in just five games, but earlier in the season he was the first Italian to win the three-point shooting contest during the this season’s all-star weekend.
With accomplishments like that, we’re rather surprised that Belinelli doesn’t already have a Lamborghini parked in his driveway.
