He won two NBA championships, two Olympic gold medals and several other awards. LeBron just signed a two year contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers worth $42.1 million and could afford basically any ride on the market. But for some reason, James went for the new Kia K900.
For a basketball star of such magnitude fans would expect him to drive the coolest of coolest, but for some reason LeBron was driving the company’s new 2015 K900 model. At least that is what he wanted fans to believe the moment he put a picture with the car interior on his Instagram quoting: “rolling around in my K900. Love this car!”

Seen as the company’s flagship, K900 is a full-size sedan launched in South Korea in May 2012. The new model is a derivative of the BH-L (VI) platform shared by the Hyundai Equus and Genesis. It is the first full-size rear-wheel drive sedan from Kia. Slightly shorter than the Equus, but with more of an aggressive, sporty stance as well as longer wheelbase with shorter front overhang dimensions. Among the new technologies to a KIA car we remind the Blind spot assist, Head Up Display and an advanced Adaptive Front Lighting System.

The South Koreans decided to promote the K900 through their Super Bowl XLVIII commercial, featuring Laurence Fishburne reprising his role as Morpheus form The Matrix series. Taking this into consideration there would be no surprise LeBron is involved in some sort of marketing deal. Nonetheless, you’ll have to admit it’s quite the thing seeing King James driving a Kia.
