National Corn Growers Association Teams Up with NASCAR

The automotive industry is making more and more efforts to reduce the impact its vehicles have on the environment, with this trend also including the motorsport world. One example that perfectly illustrates this is NASCAR, which is starting the 2011 season with ethanol.

Now, America’s corn growers are teaming up with the series to bring the use of corn-based American Ethanol to the public’s attention. The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) is planning to infest the NASCAR fans with the eco virus.

As the 2011 NASCAR season launches with a new, greener fuel, the nation’s corn growers are joining forces with NASCAR to promote the use of corn-based American Ethanol. As an Official Partner of NASCAR, the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) will leverage their relationship to authentically spread the message to NASCAR fans around the role American Farmers play in the development of American Ethanol," stated the press release.

Let’s see how the NGCA describes itself:  "Today, NCGA and your state associations are working with elected leaders to increase ETHANOL demand by establishing a Renewable Fuels Standard as part of a comprehensive energy policy and thereby reducing energy prices and protecting national security. NCGA is working to develop new uses for corn through RESEARCH AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT programs. It is also the leading voice for corn growers in the promotion of BIOTECHNOLOGY products to U.S. and international government leaders. NCGA and your state association is committed to supporting FARM POLICY.”
