Very popular in the United States, NASCAR is a strange sport to Europeans, basically being viewed as a competition where tens of driver take left turns all day on a boring oval track. However, some motorsport enthusiasts from the Old Continent find it enthralling as well.
Unfortunately, those people won’t get to see a real NASCAR event unless they travel to the US. There have been several rumors about it coming to Europe, but it looks like it may take a while. And until then, those of you who love NASCAR and can’t get across the Pond will have to settle for some stock car crumbs, like the one that took place at the Nurburgring a while back, when a Redbull-liveried car showed up on the famed German track.
The footage provided by YouTube user SpotterGijsOneShot is shorter that we’d like, but we’re still happy to see a V8-powered NASCAR racer being driven around the ‘Ring. The engine sounds better than most vehicles seen around the track, and we really can’t wait to find some more video action from that day. Don’t worry, we’ll share!
