Mr. Elon Musk is probably one of the most splitting personalities of our times - at least as long as we steer clear of the political spectrum - and we're not just talking about segregating the society into "love him" or "hate him" groups, but also arousing conflicting sentiments within the same person.
You can't deny all the great stuff he's done and admire his entrepreneurship skills, which make it seem as though he could start a successful career even in music if that's what he woke up desiring one morning. Or if someone tweeted he couldn't do it.

There's also the other side of him that hardcore Tesla fans ignore and his detractors obsess about, which is another way of saying nobody's perfect and, the greater the ambitions, the more spectacular the opportunities for mistakes. And, yes, mistakes have been made.

Driving a Tesla Model X around the Kennedy Space Center for a test flight earlier this year, however, proved to be an excellent marketing decision for Tesla as the EV maker has subsequently become the official shuttle for NASA astronauts as they make their way to the launch pad. One last second of silence for the men on board the Crew Dragon spacecraft before blastoff.

The first time the battery-powered SUV - now with NASA decals - will make its way toward the pad in this new official role should come in just a few days from now. A Falcon 9 rocket will launch astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley on board the Crew Dragon module which will eventually dock with the Internation Space Station.

Speaking of which, if you fancy yourself a failed astronaut, SpaceX is kind enough to offer a little simulation of what it's like to line the crew module with the actual station for a safe docking procedure. It's sort of a more modern twist of the classic Lunar Lander, now with a whole new extra dimension to play with. Try your hand at it here after giving NASA's Tesla Model X a look in the image gallery.
