We’re not saying that one cloud is enough to eclipse the entire sun, but if what nanoFLOWCELL has to say about its new electric child is true in real-life, Tesla might want to see this.

Although the car is basically a concept at this stage, nanoFLOWCELL’s QUANTiNO is aiming real high because according to its makers, the compact EV is capable of hitting a top speed of 200 km/h (124 mph) and even more exciting, offers a maximum range of 1,000 kilometers (621 miles) with zero emissions, without harming the precious environment.

All this was possible, at least in theory, after the QUANTiNO concept received a low-voltage drive system. Basically, this is where the magic happens, thanks to a nanoFlowcell, two ionic liquid storage tanks and four electric motors delivering 34 HP a piece.

In case the name QUANTiNO is making you think of a smaller car than the QUANT E and QUANT F, we’re pleased to confirm that you’re absolutely right. According to chief technical officer Nunzio La Vecchia, “the QUANTiNO is a 2+2 seater boasting a unique design, measuring 3.91 meters (12.82 feet) in length”.

According to nanoFLOWCELL, a production variant is currently undergoing development, but don’t be quick to jump for joy just yet. The company will have to receive approval for road use, but that should be just a formality for them.

The prototype will make a debut on the Swiss car stage in Geneva next month and those interested in seeing the QUANTiNO are by all means advised to look for the glass cube covering the nanoFLOWCELL stand in Hall 1.
