NAIAS Announces Poster Contest Winners

As it has gotten us accustomed in the past years, the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) is not only the place to be for all major car makers in the beginning of each year, but also a perfect opportunity for those planning to impress with their design skills and imagination. This year’s edition of the NAIAS poster competition concluded this week, with the organizers of the event making public the list of winners in all the categories. The list of winners can be seen by accessing the following link. "We had hundreds of outstanding entries which made choosing a winner extremely challenging," said 2011 NAIAS Chairman, Barron Meade. "We are always reminded how far-reaching the passion for the automotive industry truly is as a result of this competition." Among the winners of the contest, one person in particular stood out from the crowd. Her name is Melody Anderson, she's a 12th grade student at Grand Blanc High School in Grand Blanc, Michigan, and her little involvement with the automotive event has landed her a $1,000 scholarship at NAIAS Education Day. The rest of the winners received either $500 or $250 in prizes. All the winning posters will be made public on the NAIAS official website. Unfortunately, the posters, including the official one, are not uploaded at the time we are writing this piece. autoevolution will be attending the 2011 North American International Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions.
