It seems BMW was indeed working on another electric car concept which it will be shown at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. The company maid the announcement themselves, but didn’t go into detail about the car itself.
A previous rumor says that the BMW i4 Concept will bow in LA next week, based on the i3 and featuring the same powertrain but in a coupe body. Maybe the engineers had too much fun with the RWD i3 in the ice last winter when they were testing it!

The i4 could use the same CFRP technology to save weight and could be powered by a similar electric drivetrain to the i3’s 168 hp (125 kW).

Joining the I3 wil be the i8 Spyder Concept, as well as the Concept K2 Powder Ride, based on the X1 crossover, for cold weather enthusiasts of winter sports. BMQ will also show the 2013 7-Serie, which features an updated look and revised engines.
