My Dream NSX App Lets You Make a Pink Supercar

Honda looked at the Ferraris of yesteryear and said “no, no, no, that’s the wrong way to make a supercar. And so the original NSX was born.

Honda at the time made its money with the Civic, which was safer, more reliable compacts for the family to use. But what if you could make a Japanese supercar that was reliable, not like a Ferrari 348 of the time.

The NSX had an aluminum monocoque chassis, ABS and a high-revving 3-liter V6 engine. Most importantly, it allowed people to dream of a much cheaper but still extremely fast mid-engined car.

A successor to that legend is on the way for 2015, though we’ve heard reports a pre-production prototype will be shown next month in Detroit. It’s actually going to be developed in the US and will feature a hybrid all-wheel drive propulsion system.

Naturally, a bit of anticipation is all right, so they launched an app that allows you to make the new Acura NSX concept any color you like. You can even share what you’ve created with your friends and save for future reference.

We liked it because it’s the first official supercar app that has the color pink in it. It’s the new manly color to have, or didn’t you know!
