MX-5 ZSport and RX-8 Kuro for the Brits

The UK loves Mazda and Mazda loves the UK, as the Japanese manufacturer has just announced two new special editions to be launched on the Brit market exclusively. Being the best sold roadster in the world, the Mazda MX-5 is now receiving  an upgrade in the form of the ZSport package, which includes GBP 2,250 worth of exclusive features.

The most noticeable features are the Radiant Ebony Mica paintwork, the 17 inch BBS alloy wheels, the chrome front grille and the ZSport badging. On the inside, the ZSport package brings a new stone-coloured leather upholstery, chrome air vent bezels, brushed aluminum dash panel, alloy pedals and climate control air conditioning. Unfortunately, only 400 units of this special edition will be manufactured, each retailing for GBP 19,995, only GBP 1,045 more than a regular Mazda MX-5.

The second surprise which Mazda has in store for the British customers is the RX-8 Kuro. Just like the ZSport MX-5, the RX-8 Kuro (which means black in Japanese), has stone-coloured leather upholstery, and what sets the two models apart is the steering wheel, gear knob and hand brake, all wrapped in leather. This RX-8 special edition will go for GBP 23,995.This 231 horsepower, sport coupe special edition will be produced in only 500 units, each having special exterior badges and five spoke 18 inch dark silver alloy rims.
