Even though some voices in the industry said that the recently-announced MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 could be like the Tricruiser concept (pictured), some new whispers claim the new machine will be a fully-fledged adventure bike.
Now, this could be a truly interesting turn of events and a radical move from MV Agusta... to their advantage. The new 800cc-class triple-cylinder engine has plenty of power to do the job, and matching it to a new gearbox could also provide plenty of low-end torque to make this ike off-road ready.
It looks like MV Agusta also plans a completely new frame sporting the interesting rear sub-frame solution introduced by the Tricruiser. So we might see a single backbone in the rear of the bike, providing way more usable space under the seat.
This means larger panniers could be easily installed and thus dramatically expanding the versatility of the bike. Now, a true dual-purpose MV Agusta is an extremely cool perspective and we bet the machine will be one of the sexiest in the segment, as it's hard to believe that the Varese manufacturer is willing to produce dull machinery.
Cometh 2013 EICMA!
