MV Agusta concludes the 2-day test at Jerez, where the new MV Agusta Reparto Corse – Yakhnich Motorsport Team brought their new bikes and three riders.
Just before the winter testing ban is installed, many circuits in southern Europe see the last strives teams make this year, trying to gather as much data as possible for making improvements during the break.

While the first day at Jerez was dedicated to taking the riders' ergonomics to the best possible level and revising engine mappings, the second one comprised actual runs and it looks like the first results are most encouraging.

The happiest man around the MV Agusta-Yakhnich box was Claudio Corti, as he felt exceptionally good aboard his 2014 WSBK F4 RR: "“I’ve never ridden a bike with a front end that gives such great feedback; moreover, the engine also feels extremely promising. I can’t wait to ride the completed, definitive version of the bike in the January tests, and I get the feeling we could get good results even in our very first year”.

Supersport riders were not as involved in actual riding as Corti, but the Jerez test also helped them and their teams adjust the F3's performance specs and further refine the setup.

Jules Cluzel: “We didn’t ride as many laps as we wanted to set up the electronics and get the riding position right. I’m having to readjust to the Supersport riding style and tyres, but by the end of the second day I was really starting to enjoy myself and believe the F3 has outstanding potential”.

Vladimir Leonov: “I lost the first day tweaking the riding position as the bike's really small compared to the R6… But the sensations - with regard to both engine and chassis - were positive right from the word go. I think we're really going to ratchet up the performance of this bike very quickly indeed”.

MV Agusta recently teamed up with the Russian team Yakhnich Motorsport and are making a comeback in World Superbike and Supersport in 2014.
