MV Agusta F3 Pre-Orders Begin in the UK

Now in its final stage of test and development, the much anticipated F3 model from MV Agusta is still to make thousands of miles before it is ready for sale this fall. However, prospective customers in the UK can reportedly pre-register their own F3 at the following link.

As we previously reported, the middleweight hypersport bike has already exceeded expectations of the development team, as its three-cylinder motor has surpassed the 133bhp mark and revs to around 15,000rpm.

Information leaked from the factory suggest that the three-cylinder motor, with counter-rotating crankshaft, provides impressive low to mid-range thrust, but without sacrificing a top-end rush at the higher reaches of the rev counter.

That counter-rotating crank also has a positive effect on handling, flickability and rear-wheel traction, as well as improving weight-transfer when on and off the throttle. These advantages work in concert with an array of hi-tech electronics and ECU system, which includes a full ‘Ride-By-Wire’ throttle system that delivers a high level of throttle precision and fuelling.

“We are keeping very close tabs on how testing is going over in Italy with the new F3 as we have so much interest in the UK from potential owners. Many tens of thousands of miles have already been completed and the specifications are showing that the MV Agusta F3 is looking to be the machine to beat in the incredibly competitive middleweight sports sector. Of course, the competition doesn’t look anywhere near as good as the F3, so it looks like the new three-cylinder MV Agusta has them beaten on both counts,” said Steve Oliver of UK importers MotoGB.
