Saluting the establishment of a new Indian Motorcycle in Sturgis after more than half a century, premium custom seats manufacturer Mustang announces that a new line of saddles will be on display during the Sturgis rally in the Lazelle Street showroom.
Those visiting the Indian dealership in Sturgis will be among the first which will get a glimpse of and test the all-new custom seats Mustang has prepared. Two versions of the Vintage Wide Touring seats will be on display, crafted with painstaking attention to fit the Indian Chief and Chieftain bikes perfectly, while providing top-notch support for the riders.

Regardless of the trim, these new seats come with the acclaimed Mustang marine grade fiberglass basepan and controlled density foam. The new Mustang seats boast a 16.5”-wide (42cm) construction, with the riding position moved 1.5”(4cm) towards the back. Options such as contrast stitching, studs, conches, and more are also available, but clean, tidy-looking seats will be of course there as well.

The riders’ seats are complemented by a matching passenger seat, 13”(33cm) wide with similar construction and rivaling body weight support for enhanced comfort during long hours spent on the bike. Passenger comfort can be increased even more, with an optional backrest which incorporates both the sissy bar and the pad, but in a much more stylish package than what traditional designs offer. As far as the press release lets us know, these backrests are also offered for all three Indian models, the Chief Classic, Chief Vintage and the flagship Chieftain.

No prices have been specified for the rider and passenger seats, or for the backrest. However, we can tell you that Mustang will also be present in a second location in Sturgis, at the Black Hills Harley-Davidson.
