Mussolini's Alfa Romeo for Sale on eBay

Benito Mussolini died more than 50 years ago and fascism was buried along with him too but his 1937 Alfa Romeo 2300 MM managed to survive the flight of time.

In fact, the historic vehicle can be all yours in case you have $1,200,000 and want to invest in what once was Mussolini's car. Thus, the 1937 Alfa Romeo can be currently found on eBay, but something tells us that you must hurry up as three offers have already been made for the historic piece.

As you can see for yourself in the photos, Mussolini's car features black exterior with tan leather seats. The vehicle has manual transmission and its engine works on gasoline. Unfortunately, no other technical details are given by its current owner.

However, if you are interested in this offer, you should know that the vehicle didn't serve only as Mussolini's fast coupe. It was also raced in the 1937 Mille Miglia, a notoriously dangerous thousand-mile road race in Italy, by Mussolini’s racing team and private chauffeur, Ercole Boratto, the cousin of Mussolini. What's more, the car was purchased off the auction block at the Kruse Select Auction.

Nevertheless, this is not the only Alfa Romeo belonging to the Italian dictator that went under the hammer. As a matter of fact, Mussolini had a very tight relation with the Italian luxury car maker.

For those who don't remember, another Alfa Romeo belonging to Mussolini, the 6C 2300 Pescara Spyder was sold at auction last year. The rare two-seater sports car was built as a gift for Il Duce after he saved the car manufacturer from going into liquidation during the Great Depression. Just as it happened with the 1937 Alfa Romeo 2300 MM, Mussolini's chauffeur raced the car in the 1936 Mille Miglia and came 13th.
