Ford Mustang was the best-selling musclecar in the United States in December 2013, delivering 5,727 units, a three percent increase over the same month the previous year.
Ford’s pony sold about 700 more examples than the Chevrolet Camaro, who saw a 14 percent decline to 5,015 units last month. Dodge Challenger sales decreased 27 percent compared to December 2012, to only 2,872 units.

Moving over to annual sales, the Chevrolet Camaro topped the market with 80,567 units, 4.5 percent less compared to 2012, while Ford delivered 77,186 Mustangs, a 7 percent decrease. Meanwhile, Dodge Challenger sales of 51,462 units brought Chrysler’s musclecar a spectacular year-over-year increase of 19.3 percent.

The aforementioned figures leave the Chevrolet Camaro with an US market share of 38.5 percent, while the Ford Mustang captured 36.9 percent of sales. Finally, the Dodge Challenger settled for 24.6 percent.
