Murcielago SV Reportedly Prepared for Geneva

Speculations concerning a potential new and lighter version of Lamborghini Murcielago spread on the web since one year or so but the Italian manufacturer refused to confirm every single piece of information. New rumors saw daylight today as several web sources disclosed that Lamborghini plans to launch the all-new Murcielago SV at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show but again, no confirmation coming from Lamborghini representatives.

A report coming from GTSpirit suggests that the next Murcielago may look a bit more aggressive than the stock model, featuring a bunch of new styling elements such as a three piece spoiler and new fender air vents. In addition, Murcielago SV could include a new front splitter plus a couple of slightly improved styling parts.

In terms of technical features, the new Lamborghini model may sport AWD, especially if taking into account that a RWD system could prove to be a bit risky for inexperienced drivers, as the folks at GTSpirit wrote. But even so, Lamborghini was especially concentrated on engine performance, thus the weight got reduced by approximately 122 kilograms while the ground clearance was lowered by approximately 5 cm.

And because we're sure you're looking for engine information, you should probably know that Murcielago SV is reportedly developing 740 bhp, with some reports indicating that a 670 bhp limit is closer to reality.

As seen on other Lamborghini models, the upcoming Murcielago is said to excel when talking about interior, with Alcantara leather among the exclusive materials used inside the car. But as mentioned before, this is only pure speculation so there's nothing more to do than to keep your eyes skinned on autoevolution in the next few days to find out more information.
