One of the newest soldiers of the German Power War, the Audi RS5 (which will also be offered in the U.S.) has just received a MTM special training.

The German tuner has chosen to leave the mighty vehicle’s engine in its stock form. This means that the cars uses a 4.2 liter V8 unit developing 450 hp at 8,250 rpm and 317.15 lb-ft (430 Nm) between 4,000 and 6,000. Instead of modifying the powerplant, the tuner chose to play with the factory-installed speed limiter, bringing the top speed from 155 mph (250 km/h) to 188 mph (303 km/h). This top’s Audi top speed increase offer, which brings the car to 174 mph (280 km/h).

However, the engine can be tickled a little though the installing of a cat back exhaust system with throttle valves inside its two pipes (this is fitted on the original tailpipes).

MTM also offers a wide range of lightweight alloy rims for the German coupe - you know, the iconic MTM bimoto.

The MTM bimoto rims with their attractive 9-spoke race design and superior quality impress at first sight. Highlighted with a flawless finish, these light weight forged rims are produced to the highest OEM manufacturing standards ensuring high solidity and a technically precise rotation with a load capacity of up to 780 kg per axle, even in high performance and racing action,” stated the press release.

The modifications offered by MTM are minor, but don’t worry, the tuner is working on a serious kit for the RS5. Let’s just hope that it won’t keep us waiting too long.
