MTM Audi RS6 Clubsport Acceleration Video Released

At the beginning of May, the German tuner Motoren Technik Mayer (MTM) released a badass performance and appearance kit for the already-mad Audi RS6 sedan.

Dubbed Clubsport, the car comes with a revised ECU, a high flow air filter and a stainless steel exhaust, which push the Lamborghini-shared 5.0 liter V10 powerplant to 720 horsepower and 579 lb-ft. The increase is pretty hefty, compared to the engine’s stock output values of 580 hp and 479 lb-ft. The vehicle also comes with adjustable springs, 21 inch rims, a roll cage and other goodies.

Now, the company continues to squeeze marketing juice out of the Audi RS Clubsport, releasing a video on Youtube that shows the car dealing with the 0 to 100 km/h sprint. The vehicle leaves the 100 km/h (62 mph) mark behind in 3.6 seconds, in the second gear of the car’s six speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. A total of 51 seconds of enjoyment are waiting for you after the jump.

As it is a piece of modern marketing, it has to come with statements like “The video was realized by professional drivers on closed roads” and “do not reproduce on open roads”, but this doesn’t make it less tasty.

The footage also shows the tuned German Power War fighter battling with the wind resistance (which increases proportionally with the speed squared), casually climbing to over 275-276 km/h (170 mph).

By the way, MTM’s promo is complete with a mouthwatering soundtrack (yes, we are talking about synesthesia here), with the supercharged V10 in the main role.

And don’t even think about making jokes related to the fuel indicator showing that only a quarter of the tank is left. Gas is proud to be guzzled by an Autobahn Blitzer like this.
