Folks, Lumberjack Camper Trailers is an Australian RV manufacturer with a knack for yielding some of the most decked-out campsites I've seen in a while, and I look for things like this daily. Lumberjack is the sort of team that prides itself on being a family-owned business and has been ever since they hit the market.

While that may not sound like a very big deal, companies that remain under their own rule, so to speak, can constantly break established industry norms that often arise as a result of company mergers. It's this sort of ideal that allows Lumberjack to offer camping trailers like the Mt. Baw Baw.

While you may be thinking that this is just another travel trailer, I urge you to check out the gallery if you haven’t done so already, in particular, the images where the Baw Baw is revealed with its tent structure unraveled. These images inspired me to dig deeper into this trailer and bring you the news as to what it can do for your adventure lifestyle.

Just so we’re on the same page, you need to know that this trailer is a pop-top one. This means that the interior will have more than enough headroom to move freely about the habitat. As it sits closed, the Baw Baw comes in with a length of 7.55 m (24.77 ft), a width of 2.1 m (6.89 ft), and a height of 2.7 m (8.85 ft). Open, on the other hand, this sucker will be 4.2 m (13.78 ft) wide and 3.15 m (10.3 ft) tall, creating more than enough headroom for some of the tallest folks in the crowd.

With an average weight of 1,950 kg (4,299 lbs) and a load limit of 2,500 kg (5,511 lbs), there should be more than enough room to bring along any cargo you may need. Even though the manufacturer's website doesn’t state what sort of materials are used in completing the frame for the habitat, by the looks of it, aluminum and steel were the chosen materials. As for exterior shelling, white gloss finish fiberglass is used. All that’s then set onto a beefy independent coil suspension system with dual shocks, 12-inch (30.5-centimeter) electric brakes, and alloy rims with 16-inch mud-terrain tires.

Now, here’s the catch. Even though the Baw Baw can become one heck of a campground with that wrap-around annex you saw in the gallery, in truth, the interior is only fit for two guests. But, those two people will be living it up as if a mobile lifestyle is the new standard.

At the rear of the trailer, guests will have access to a queen-size bed with windows and storage slots all around the bedding. Access to under-bed storage sits at the foot of the bed, and so does a dining table that is to be set up only when you need it.

Towards the front of the Baw Baw, you’ll find a bathroom with a separate booth shower, toilet, and sink with faucet too. If needed, one person can shower, while the other goes through their morning routine. The rest of the interior is reserved for things like a prep table and more storage options, while a Truma hot water system feeds both the internal and exterior shower systems; yes, there’s an exterior shower too.

Since cooking will be handled outside, and probably for much more than just two people if you include the annex in your purchase, Lumberjack decided to include a 4-burner stove with wind deflectors, stainless steel sink with tap, access to 160 liters (42 gallons) of freshwater, and a food prep station.

Extra features and accessories include gas bottle and jerry can storage, countless internal and external storage compartments, and quite a capable electric system. Two AGM batteries, 240-volt connection, inverter, and optional roof-mounted solar panels are all available. Interior and exterior LED light strips cover the Baw Baw while everything is easily controlled from an internal control panel.

So, how much is this beast of a trailer going to run you? Well, according to Lumberjack Camper Trailers’ Facebook page, the Mt. Baw Baw is currently running for $56,999. But there’s a surprise, that price is in Australian Dollars, so in reality, you're only being asked to pay 42,646 American Dollars. Think about what your lifestyle may be like with one of these.
