Mr. and Mrs. Scion FR-S: Married with Sportscars

Perhaps not all automotive aficionados plan to turn their SO into a car person, but many try their hand at converting girls to the vehicular religion. Today we want to tell you the story of a couple who succeeded, with him and his wife now driving a pair of Scion FR-S.

Meet Ria and Justin, a couple that decided to assess the modest power of the FR-S by... doubling the sportscar. It all started back in the day, as Justin always had a thing for JDM machines.

When he met Ria more than two years ago, she wasn’t into cars, but he somehow instilled the four-wheel adoration in her. It wasn’t long before they decided to grab a pair of sportscars, with rear-wheel drive being the main ingredient on the menu.

The FR-S was sort of the obvious choice here given the JDM flavor of the story, but the couple decided to go down the customization route, tricking out their cars.

Their Scions are now fully customized in terms of exterior and cabin treatment, with the only custom bit they share being the rims, which come from Work Meisters.

Ria and Justin like to spend quality couple time by taking their cars out with each occasion they get. In fact, the footage below, which comes from Halcyon Photo & Cinema, shows the pair cruising around the Delaware River and the Hawk’s Nest.

This story reminds us of the JDM girls we talked about yesterday and their souped-up Honda Civics, except those cars seemed to go down the tech customization route a little further.

PS: can you try and guess who is the owner of each car without using the video to cheat?
