Electric scooters are more and more popular and it's a real pleasure to welcome Antro Group's Moveo, an electric scooter which we can't wait to see in production. I looks amazing, is incredibly lightweigth and even more: it can fold so riders can stow it away just like a common roller suitcase.
Hungary-based Antro is a non-profit organization whose goal is to develop eco-friendly transportation methods. Antro joined forces with manufacturer Moveo and together they're looking to start mass production really soon, aiming for a 15,000 units annually, for an estimated price of €3,1000 ($4,200). A worst-case scenario involves only 4,000 units annually, and this inplies a higher per unit cost around €4,600 ($6,235).
A bit steep in both cases for an electric commuter machine with a 35 km range (21.7 miles) at a top (limited) speed of 45 km/h (28 mph), we'd say. However, Antro's Moveo will need 2kWh for 100 km (62 miles) and the battery will last for up to 35,000 km (21,750 miles).
This scooter weighs in at only 25 kg (55 lbs) and can be easily folded/ unfolded, occupying a very small place and being extremely easy to store.
