BMW didn’t actually build a BMW E30 M3 Touring version but in our current day and age, nothing is impossible. Therefore, if you really like longer, family Bimmers, you shouldn’t let BMW stop you.
One determined man that loved the BMW E30 M3 decided that he wouldn’t settle for what the Germans are offering and built himself a Touring 3er, just like he wanted to. The car was based on a 1991 318is model and built almost from scratch somewhere in New Jersey (so there are also good things coming out of there, not just Jersey Shore).
If you were expecting it to be sporting an S14 engine, you’d be wrong. This beauty uses the E36 M3 engine, an S50B30 3-liter unit making 286 HP and it’s a screamer. On the outside, BBS wheels were used, in tune with the car’s age and an EVO III front bumper while inside, a completely redone interior makes your mouth water.
According to the ad on eBay, the engine has only 80,000 miles on it and the 5-speed manual gearbox’s clutch is brand new. Other interesting features include carbon fiber front brake ducts, EVO II hood gasket seals, Euro grills, Euro Smoked smileys with HID slim Xenon 6k, Auto art smoked turn signals, AC Schnitzer pedals and so on.
It’s truly a beautiful car. Unfortunately, it’s listed as an auction and the reserve is hidden, so we can’t really tell you how much he wants for it, but you could give it a try nonetheless.
