Here are some more high-res pictures of Lotus' first-ever motorcycle, a beast which brings together no less than three huge names in the business: Lotus, Daniel Simon and most likely, KTM.
Lotus entrusted the shaping of the C-01 to the design guru Daniel Simon of Kodewa fame, and the result is as intriguing as it is spectacular. Just like Lotus cars, the C-01 oozes personality and represents a most bold statement, if with a very pronounced "love it or hate it" factor.
At the heart of this fluid wonder, Lotus placed a 75-degree, 1,195cc v-twin which should produce around 200 horsepower, and which we suspect, was produced by KTM for their RC8R machine.
The Lotus C-01 tips the scales at 181 kg dry (399 lbs), and only carries 10.5 liters (2.77 us gal) of fuel. Now, looking at it, we doubt anyone would plan a 300-mile (480 km) haul on it...
There's no word on pricing, but with only 100 Lotus C-01 bikes being manufactured, things will surely be dead-serious. Enjoy!
