The last presence in MotoGP in Brazil was in 2004, at Autodromo Jacarepagua, in Rio de Janeiro. However, the circuit has been demolished, making room for the new complex which will host the Olympic Games in the summer of 2016.

One of the possible locations Alves could have possibly thought of is the Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo. Interlagos hosted a MotoGP race in 1992, but it is unclean whether the track complied with the actual MotoGP regulations. Or maybe there are some serious plans for building a new, top-notch circuit. The Russians are doing so right now.

The country has no representatives in MotoGP, the last Brazilian rider to race a MotoGP bike being Alex Barros (Ducati, 2007). Three spectacular pictures of Barros' crashing at Phillip Island during the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, in October 2005.
