Moto Guzzi Griso 8V SE US Pricing Announced

The North American division of the Piaggio Group has recently announced that the US customers will be able to buy the company’s new Moto Guzzi Griso 8V SE motorbike starting the first half of 2011. The bike has also received a price tag, with the new model to retail for $14,490.

This bike can be recognized immediately thanks to its colour scheme, a satinised green "Tenni" or with the new "Rosso Mandello" with a blacked-out powertrain.

Other features include a stitched leather saddle, BER spoked wheels shod with Pirelli Scorpion intermediate tires not to mention the refined decorative colour-coordinated logos of the bike's initials.

Performance wise, the powerful "Quattrovalvole" engine delivers, in its latest incarnation, a maximum torque of 113 Nm at just 5800 rpm, marking a significant improvement over the 108 Nm at 6400 rpm of the previous version. That extra power comes courtesy of revised cam profiles and fuel injectors, along with a larger airbox.

Other details include the fabulous new Brembo brake system made up of P4/34 radial calipers that act on floating 320mm discs. Furthermore, the tail houses three high intensity LED light units, while the two-into-one exhaust system offer a preview of the new bike’s potential.

“The impeccable road manners of the Griso 8V SE SE benefit from the low centre of gravity and the rock steady front end, with reduced offset plates to ensure an immediate and precise response to any steering input. This is a veritable scalpel on two wheels allowing the most discerning rider to carve perfect lines in the asphalt,”
the manufacturer brags.
