Adding and antiqued attire to an already old Moto Guzzi is maybe not the first thing one would think of when it's customization time. However, if you're a graphic designer with a passion for bikes just like Spaniard Joan Miguel Orga is, there's good prospects for amazing things.
Even more, Joan got the chance to spend some quality time with the Wrenchmonkees guys in Copenhagen, Denmark, and it's with their help he built his Art in Movement Moto Guzzi 850T4.
The “new” parts on this Guzzi have been sourced from the Wrenchmonkees' garage and they're all second hand, in fact. The whole project bike had to be made on a low budget so creativity and less traditional ideas were quite welcome.
That's how Joan's Art in Movement was left unpainted, emphasizing the beauty of the bare metal. A special, though simple treatment was applied to all metal parts, with all the paint removed and fire blacking then used to give the unique texture and look. The result is an antiqued look with a specific
attire which is both classy and steampunk-ishly wild.
The golden rims and the brown seat are the only vivid color accents, and they furthermore enhance the sober beauty of this custom Guzzi. We'd certainly like to see more of this blacking around, on more bikes! Spotted by UPDLT.
