Most Fisker Karma Orders to Be Fulfilled This Year

Not wanting to risk the sort of marketing mess that Nissan was in when they couldn’t keep up with the deliveries, Fisker says it will make good on its promise to deliver most of the 3,000 reservations it has received by the end of this year.

The news comes straight from Fisker’s communications representative, who told Edmunds’ Auto Observer that the cars are likely to be certified to meet federal and state emissions standards very soon.

200 of Karmas that had already been built were reportedly sitting in storage last week, as they were awaiting the air quality certification by the federal Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board.

This month, the green automaker revealed a shooting brake version of the car, with more booth space, and says this will be ready for the market for the 2013 model year.
