The latest problem traffic-police officers are facing in Moscow is drivers who willingly cover the number plates of their cars to get away with bad parking. Considering that getting too close to somebody’s car can turn to into a scandal, police has hired 10 dogs to do the job. Not only are they a cute companion for the parking workers, but they are quite efficient, as well.
Authorities in Moscow realized that more and more drivers avoid paying for parking and later for the parking fines they get by simply putting pieces of paper or small plastic bags on the number plates. In this way the parking workers and the cameras are not able to send the fines to the proper owner, so the drivers get away with it.

This is why the police force in Moscow decided to get some canine help. Not only are the dogs faster, but you can’t really scream at one telling him to get away from you car, can you? When somebody gets too close to your vehicle things can get weird, as the owner would probably consider you're a thief.

Local reports suggest the dogs are even trained to put the scraps into the trashcans later so there is no mess done. When there is no license plated to uncover, the dogs will look after potential bad drivers that try to do the scam and hide their plates. And once all is said and done, the K9 detectives are happy with just a few treats and a gentle pat on the head.
