The Morgan Super 3 is not a vehicle that appeals to many people. Styled like the cars from the golden age of the automobile, it only uses three wheels to get about its business. It's classy in some sense but wacky in another, and that makes it a very niche vehicle, hence the limited crowds it appeals to. But the people of those crowds are pretty big fans of it, so it's very likely they'll blow Mustang Dark Horse Premium money on these insane special editions of the ride.
The Super 3 has been around in its current form since 2022 when it was introduced as the successor of the previous Morgan 3 Wheeler. It offers for $54,000 thrills for two supplied by a Ford 1.5-liter engine, and the confidence you're riding inside a vehicle not many people have the guts of buying.

But one can now go even more exclusive than the standard Super 3 through a limited run of vehicles called Origins. That would be nine unique specifications comprising nine units each (that's a total of 81 vehicles for the entire series) that have been designed to pay tribute to all the things that inspired the Super 3 design.

The limited run does not come with any mechanical improvements over the standard version, but it does add a lot of unique paint jobs, unique features, and of course accessories.

All of the above is meant to be a nod to things like "the jet age, the space race, the pop art movement, American boulevard cruisers, belly tank racers, 80s tech, and science-fiction." So let's dive in and see what Morgan has in store for us by taking a look at each of the nine specifications.

Morgan Super 3 Bluebird – I'm not sure how many of you remember a vehicle called the Bluebird-Proteus CN7. Having arrived into this world as the world's first land speed record vehicle to use a gas turbine engine, it was driven by British driver Donald Campbell to set the FIA record for the flying mile, speeding at 403.1 mph (648.7 kph).

Although the CN7 does not have all that many things in common, mechanically speaking, with the Super 3, Morgan took inspiration from the record breaker's forms and colors to create its own version of the Bluebird.

It comes with a clue paint job to match the one of the original car, a Bluebird emblem on the hood, and a Bluebird plaque inside. Compared to the standard Super 3, this also got mudguards and cockpit hoops.

Morgan Super 3 Boulevard Cruiser – America's 1950s cars have a certain appeal to them, and that's exactly what the Brits try to capture with the Boulevard Cruiser limited edition. This version comes in a Frozen Berry color inspired by the shades used on the vehicles from decades ago.

On top of that, this breed of Super 3 was treated to aluminum strips on the side of the body and a deco-style badge reading S3 Boulevard. The interior was specced in Ivory Typhoon leather.

Morgan Super 3 Pickersleigh Speedshop – named after the Pickersleigh Road in Malvern Link, Worcestershire, where Morgan is located, this version of the Super 3 was inspired by the belly tank racers and other custom builds made in the 1950s with the goal of racing in the desert or on salt flats.

In this incarnation, the three-wheeler comes in a hand-painted livery of contrasting metallic silver paint and bright red.

Morgan Super 3 Space Race – the same decade that brought so many cool vehicles into the world also marked the start of the space race. To honor that as well, Morgan went for a gloss white paint livery for this special edition ride, one that is supposed to bring back images of space shuttles and Moon rovers.

Morgan Super 3 Warp Speed – warp speed, meaning the speed of light, is something that has been greatly used in sci-fi literature and movies, as it is the only way a human spacecraft can reach distant planets in a decent amount of time. And even if this version of the Super 3 is only capable of reaching 130 mph (209 kph), it still pays tribute to warp speed.

It does so by using a polished aluminum cowl, roll hoop, exhaust and sideblade, offset by a yellow paint with red and blue accents on the inside. Special graphis can be seen throughout the vehicle.

Morgan Super 3 Scramble the Jets – the era the Super 3 was originally imagined is also the era of the jets. To honor the high-speed airplanes that reshaped aviation, Morgan went for a two-tone dark and light gray color combination. But the nose of this version is painted red, and there is a start switch meant to resemble a bomb release one.

Morgan Super 3 Charlie Mike – in military speak Charlie Mike stands for "continue mission," and it was the name chose for the military-inspired version of the Super 3. Not only is the car painted in khaki, but this one also comes with a series of extras, including luggage and accessory options, and even bungee cords.

Morgan Super 3 Fast Forward – believe it or not, this special edition was inspired by the tech and gaming revolution that originated in Japan in the 1980s. That's because, Morgan says, that was in turn what inspired the digital dials in the production version of the Super 3.

To properly honor the inspiration, the vehicle is painted in white with special graphics. The wheels are in white as well, and there's a polished aluminum cowl to round up the look.

Morgan Super 3 Whoosh Bang Pop – the last and perhaps wackiest special edition three-wheeler is inspired by the pop art movement that took over the UK and the U.S. in the 1950s. The design of the relies on a comic book strip that runs on the aluminum body panels, backed by a two-tone Heron Grey and Belfast Blue paint job.

I said earlier each of the Origins Super 3s is priced about as much as the Mustang Dark Horse Premium. The sticker reads £47,995, which is about $61,400. For that, says Morgan, each buyer will also get a matching bespoke artwork. The cars will be sold worldwide.
