It looks like somebody screwed up really bad in the Triumph manufacturing plant last year, as the problems related to the throttle cable guide and gearbox detent spring have been identified in a larger number of bikes.
While initially, only 61 2012 Daytona 675 machines were suspected to have been manufactured without the needed throttle cable guide, the number rised to 652, and included 2012 Street Triples manufactured from June through November 2012. July-October 2012 Daytonas will also be recalled. This NHTSA recall has number 13V215000.

Likewise, the Speed Triples manufactured between June 2012 and January 2013 have the wrong transmission detent spring. While the initial number of bikes affected was 24, it has now reached 349. If you're the owner of one of these bikes, you could contact Triumph at 1-678-854-2010 or check with your nearest dealer. This recall has number 13V212000.
