More EICMA 2015 Girls for a Nice Weekend

Frankly, it's rather hard to write a piece of text when the purpose is to attach it to a hefty photo gallery of young ladies dressed in leather or other shiny apparel, graciously adorning the latest bikes unveiled in the world's biggest show.

The only thing that comes to mind is an older piece I wrote in early April this year. It was about Why Banning Umbrella Girls Sucks, and after returning this year from the Milan show, I stand behind my words then with even more sternness.

What I wrote around seven months before the EICMA 2015 show is still true, if not even closer to reality. We should all stop paying any attention to all the deluded guys who come up with all sorts of pretenses in their holier than thou attempts.

Holier than thou is the real threat

Surely, in certain cases, the clothes some hostesses wear at various automotive shows may be regarded as borderline to "not safe." But extending this to the entire industry is simply wrong, and I am glad to see that nobody seems to have made a move in this (dumb) direction.

If there is something truly negative, then it must be exactly the "holier than thou attitude." More than often, these claims come from people who have nothing to do with the industry, and who, by some strange concurrence of the Force, feel like they have to find something to be offended by in almost any walk of life.

I'd say the world would be so much better off without these fellows, and I am a rather tolerant chap. Most of them never went to a bike or car show, but still they feel like they have something to say in this. They don't, so it's no point in paying attention to them.

Let's keep the bike world as cool as it is and try to make it even nicer! Enjoy the ladies!
