Whoever said that the new M4 will sound bad should feel bad. That’s because BMW launched a couple of videos recently, showcasing the sound of the new inline 6-cylinder that is absolutely crazy.
Wanna go even further? Get the M Performance exhaust developed in collaboration with Akrapovic and watch all the hell break loose. That’s because the retrofitted part is even louder and meaner than its stock counterpart.
We’ve seen it in action a couple of times before but somehow we never got really close to it, outside, to hear it how it is supposed to be heard. Fortunately, the M4 Safety Car for the MotoGP championship had a pit stop at a BMW dealership in Austin, before the second race of the season that is bound to take place on the Circuit of the Americas on April 13.
Before it can go out on the track, the Coupe was brought there to be washed and looked over once again and an avid BMW fans quickly recorded a video of the car revving its engine and then leaving the parking lot and let us tell you.... It sounds brutal! This is probably the best recording of the M Performance exhaust yet and it’s just so good, we’d be tempted to say it overshadows the V8 on the previous model.
